La Semana del Anti-Bullying es un evento que tiene lugar cada año en Reino Unido, por lo general en la última semana de noviembre. Empezó en 2004 con el propósito de concienciar acerca del efecto de este tipo de acoso, especialmente en los colegios pero también en otros ámbitos, y promover formas de evitarlo y saber reaccionar ante ello. Cada año, la temática de la campaña varía, siendo “Acércate” (Reach Out) la de este año, animando a otros a apoyar a las víctimas de bullying. Aquí, en Saint Andrew’s, hemos hecho una asamblea enfocándonos en la definición del Bullying (acoso escolar) y cómo afrontarlo. Esto forma parte de nuestro compromiso ante tan grave problema, el cual respalda la ética de nuestro colegio, que es que todo el mundo debería sentirse seguro y bienvenido.
Anti-Bullying Week is an event held every year in the Uk, usually in the last week of November. It began in 2004, its purpose to raise awareness of bullying of young people, especially in schools but also elsewhere, and to promote ways of preventing and reacting to it. Each year, the campaign has a different theme, with this year’s being Reach Out, encouraging others to offer support to victims of bullying. Here at St Andrew’s, we held a whole school assembly focusing of what bullying is and how we can tackle it. This is part of our ongoing engagement with this serious issue and underpins the ethos of our school which is that everybody should feel safe and welcome.
