WHAT ARE THE SCHOOL HOURS?
School hours vary by year group:
Nursery, Reception and Year 1:
09:00–15:15 (arrival between 09:00–09:15)
Years 2–4:
08:45–15:30 (arrival between 08:45–09:00)
Years 5–7:
08:30–15:30 (arrival between 08:30–08:45)
If you are unsure which year group your child will join, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN EACH CLASS?
We maintain small class sizes to support personalised learning.
The average class size is around 15 students, with some classes smaller (around 12) and others up to 16–17 pupils.
We aim to enrol a maximum of 8 students per age group each year.
WHAT CURRICULUM DOES THE SCHOOL FOLLOW?
Saint Andrew’s School follows the National Curriculum for England and Wales, providing a structured and internationally recognised education in English.
ARE THE TEACHERS NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS?
Yes. All our teachers are native English speakers and are qualified and experienced in delivering the British curriculum.
DO STUDENTS LEARN SPANISH?
Yes. Students receive Spanish language lessons and Social Sciences from a qualified Spanish teacher.
For children who do not speak Spanish at home, we provide Spanish as a Second Language support.
HOW MUCH HOMEWORK DO STUDENTS RECEIVE?
Students are given small amounts of meaningful homework designed to reinforce learning from the classroom and develop good study habits.
CAN MY CHILD ATTEND IF THEIR ENGLISH LEVEL IS LIMITED?
Yes. Children quickly develop their English through full immersion in an English-speaking environment throughout the school day.
Where necessary, some curriculum areas may initially be adapted while students build confidence and language skills.

CAN MY CHILD ATTEND FOR JUST ONE TERM?
Short-term enrolment is possible if a place is available.
As we keep class sizes small, term placements are considered individually.
HOW DO COMPOSITE CLASSES WORK?
In English and Mathematics, students work on activities appropriate to their age and ability level.
For other subjects, students may receive the same introduction to a topic but complete tasks and outcomes suited to their year group.
DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE AN ANTI-BULLYING POLICY?
Yes. We have a clear and strict anti-bullying policy.
Our approach focuses strongly on prevention, respect, and positive behaviour, and students at Saint Andrew’s School generally treat one another with kindness and care.
HOW ARE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS OR ALLERGIES MANAGED?
Our meal provider prepares special meals for students with dietary requirements or allergies.
These meals are prepared separately and clearly labelled with the child’s name.
DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE A RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION?
No. Saint Andrew’s School is non-denominational.
However, students learn about major world religions as part of the curriculum to encourage understanding and respect for different cultures.
