At Saint Andrew’s School we are very proud of our teaching staff. We believe all children and parents are extremely happy with the quality of care and learning experiences pupils receive. This week we decided to ask some of the children what exactly makes their teachers good at their job?
Here are some of their replies:
He has a lot of knowledge about many different things
She always has a smile for us
I think our teachers do a lot of work at home so that we learn things in school
He is patient
When we make mistakes she helps us correct them
Our teachers are kind to each other and this is a good example for us to follow
He explains things very clearly
She is always kind to us
When something goes wrong, my teacher tries to make everything alright again
He is very understanding
She gives us interesting things to do
He finds fun and new ways to learn things
She is always helpful to us
He is funny when it’s the right time to be funny
She helps us understand difficult things by explaining them slowly
Our teacher plays with us and teaches us new games
He researches and finds special learning resources for us
She loves us all
In any school, the main aims should be to keep children safe, happy and engaged with their learning. Based on the comments made by our pupils, we believe Saint Andrew’s teachers are achieving all of these things and more!
¿Qué hace a un buen profesor?
En Saint Andrew’s School estamos muy orgullosos de nuestro personal docente. Creemos que todos los niños y padres están extremadamente felices con la calidad del cuidado y las experiencias de aprendizaje que brindamos. Esta semana decidimos preguntar al alumnado qué es lo que hace que sus maestros que sean buenos en su trabajo.
Aquí están algunas de sus respuestas:
- Tiene mucho conocimiento sobre muchas cosas diferentes.
- Siempre tiene una sonrisa para nosotros.
- Creo que nuestros profes hacen mucho trabajo en casa para que aprendamos mucho en el colegio.

- Investiga y encuentra recursos de aprendizaje especiales para nosotros.
En cualquier colegio, los objetivos principales deben ser mantener a los niños seguros, felices y comprometidos con su aprendizaje. ¡Basándonos en los comentarios hechos por nuestros alumnos, creemos que los profesore de Saint Andrew’s están logrando todo esto y más!
